REMINDER: 250 RACER CAP
Registration is up to 146 at the time of this email.
Only 104 places left. Once we're full - that's it, we will not be able to accept any additional racers (*with the exception of Category 1 Racers)
THERE IS NO DAY-OF REGISRTATION : please pass this along to any of your friends who are thinking about the race.
We're super-stoked for this year's race and hope you're all just as excited. Our local CLIMB Trail Steward, Rich Squillace, has been putting in countless hours of volunteer work over the past few months to see to it that you all have a great course to ride.
We've heard your requests and listened, too...
-This year scoring will be electronic, handled by Nikita Dorcinvil of Just Finish, Inc.
-There will be some post race food for all racers.
Hammer Nutrion is supporting your water station and will be providing racers with HEED and water.
Thank you Hammer!
First Place Category 1 Racers will be awarded a $100 cash prize.
SUFFOLK COUNTY PARKS DEPARTMENT
As we strive to maintain a healthy relationship with our local parks department, we kindly ask that you obey all of our parking requests; we'll explain this to you upon arrival. With the strong support of Suffolk County Parks Department we are able to use this parcel of land to bring to you our Six Hour Endurance Race.
IMPORTANT USAC NOTE REGARDING USE OF MULTIPLE BIKES
Those of you who raced last year may remember that we made an amendment to the official USAC cycling rules and allowed racers to use more than one bicycle. This year there will be no such amendment.
Racers WILL NOT BE PERMITTED TO USE MORE THAN ONE BICYCLE.
What does that mean? It means you MUST use only the bicycle you start the race with.
Racers or prohibited from "cannibalizing" other bikes to fix/repair their race bike.
That's enough dribble for now.
Hopefully you have been getting your saddle time in.
Those of you who remember, your ass will be sore....those of you who are first-timers, get ready for a world of hurt!
Prepare yourself for hours of agony and judgement of sanity along with the great sense of accomplishment upon completion: you're about to do SOMETHING WICKED!
*CATEGORY 1 RACERS ARE PERMITTED DAY-OF REGISTRATION BUT MUST HAVE A CURRENT/VALID USAC LICENSE PRESENT. IF YOUR LICENSE HAS EXPIRED, YOU MAY RENEW IT AT THE RACE AND PARTICIPATE. IF YOU DO NOT RENEW YOUR LICENSE, YOU WILL NOT BE PERMITTED TO RACE. AS PER USAC RULES, CATEGORY 1 RACERS MAY NOT RACE IN ANY OTHER CATEGORY.

(With the exception of Category 1 Racers)
Remember, this is a self-supported endurance race: if you don't bring it, you won't have it.
